[digiKam-users] HEIC support?

I saw a few bug reports filed for HEIC support, but they seem to have
dead ended about 8 months ago.

Are there plans to support HEIC?  I see that HEVC is supported, but
from what I can see, HEIC isn't supported as of yet.

While I'm at it, are there any plans to support AV1 and the AVIF image
format?
