[digiKam-users] How to disable one-click switch from thumnails to preview

Dear List

I'm on Windows and I keep stumbling across Digikams way of switching 
immediately to preview, whenever I left-click on a photo to select it.

I've found old threads elsewhere where other users complained about 
this, and they were told to change their Linux-System-Settings somewhere 
from one-click-opening to two-click-opening behaviour.

I am on Windows and I haven never touched any of the click-settings 
here. I navigate through files/directories with double-clicks, so the 
system-setting is not relevant here, imho.

Is there a way to change digikams configuration, so I don't fall into 
the preview mode whenever I single-click on a photo?
