Oh, I meant the metadata in the image. 

If you upgrade, I would do a full re-scan and cleanup of the library in
order to sync the image metadata with the database (digikam won't re-scan
for itself unless a picture has been modified). 

I think it works just fine in the last versions, I haven't had any problems.
