[digiKam-users] temporary port photos and metadata from MariaDB/network share for editing when offline / being on the move

Hallo
As I'm about to leave for a longer term train ride I'm wondering if I can
extract photos including their metadata and store them in a local folder
and database.
As soon as I have access to my home network I port them back.

Can that be done?
