Please do NOT undo the change!

I'm the guy that asked yesterday about the single click switching to
preview mode.

In my opinion, you should keep it as is, but, please make a note
that's where you have to click for the preview (on the thumbnail
itself) and where to click for the selection (the box around the
thumbnail)

A webpage with all the change in the behaviour would solve the vast
majority of behaviour problem.
