Yes, sort of, it's also not the sort of software I'm particularly
familiar with (I'm more into low level 'interact with the hardware'
stuff).

I actually use xubuntu on all my systems (well, apart from the

I think you're in a bit of a minority there, Ubuntu is *still* very
popular.  I went through Slackware, RedHat/Fedora and a couple of
others before I settles on xubuntu. (Ubuntu is number 3 on Distrowatch).

A couple of my systems are actually Debian derived rather than Ubuntu.
As I said though I don't use the Ubuntu desktop.
