How to stop instant metadata writing?

Hi all! 
It may be lame question, but I can not find option in digiKam to NOT write
metadata on each image instantly after tagging/metadata change. I want the
metadata to be written only on DB synchronization. Tell please where is the
check button for it?
PS Tried to google it, but first pages are bug reports instead of options.
