Cannot see 'active Filters' toolbar

I'm using digikam for about a week and am getting to know all the 
features of digikam (on Windows 7). When I started there was a toolbar 
for 'active filters' near the bottom of the screen, with a small trash 
can that let me clear all the active filters. Somehow this isn't there 
anymore, maybe I pressed some shortcut? I cannot figure out how to get 
it back again.
