critical memory leak

Hello,
Since few days, I have a very painful memory leak with Digikam. from start, , it fullfils in less than 1 minute 8Gb of RAM and 4Gb of swap, then crashes. During this timeframe, the computer is unresponsive.
How can I catch traces about that ? (I've tried with gdb, but bt returned "no stack"). 
Archlinux : up to dateDigikam 5.6.0
