Usability issues while deleting duplicates

Have you tried using the pick labels available under <alt>+1, <alt>+2 and
<alt>+3 (red, yellow, green flags, marked "rejected", "pending" and "accepted"
resp)?
Once you have marked all to be deleted with a red flag, filter on those and
delete the selected images. Advantages: you can interrupt a session and
continue at a later time, without losing the selections made, you can defer
the deletion to a time where it suits you (e.g.just before a coffee break)
