Mac issue - reloading photos

What do you use as database ? sqlite or Mysql ?

Which kind of photo type ? JPEG, RAW, PNG, TIFF, etc... ?

How many files are managed by collection ? Look in Help/DB stat dialog.

Do you use special settings, as XMP sidecar, Color management, Versionning ?

Can you capture the debug trace when you run digiKam from a console. It
