Menu Launch Name

Assuming it is the same as Ubuntu, the .desktop files are in
/home/$USER/.local/share/applications
You can open the digikam.x.x.x.desktop file and edit it there to change the
one for the appimage version.
Change "Name=Digikam" to  "Name=Digikam Y"  or whatever you want.
