Hi team,
Few weeks ago I askes help because I had problem with Digikam and
removable hard disc on Mac OS X Yosemite.

  * Gilles answered "Sound like a problem with file open limitation
under OSX. Try to look here
    :http://docs.basho.com/riak/latest/ops/tuning/open-files-limit/#Mac-OS-X".
    <http://docs.basho.com/riak/latest/ops/tuning/open-files-limit/#Mac-OS-X>
I went on this site ans did the modifications recommanded on that
    site. NO RESULT
  * Then Simon and Lutz gave me the advice :
o to sanitize the names of the Albums ( no diacritic marks,no
spacer...). I did this. NO RESULT
o to check with an USB drive various disk formats recognisable by
Mac.I did this . NO RESULT
  * I asked help to a friend computerist and:
o he don't succeed in resolving this issue on my Mac
o he installed Digikam from a Linux distribution on his computer
and he said that the external media was already visible at its
right place in the preferences panel
o BUT ihe said that " In every case Digikam does not allow to
display the thumbnails of a disk which is not connected.Thist is
not a part of its features unlike Iphoto or Lightroom". Is it right?
o If yes can we hope to have this feature in a next release ?

Thank you in advance for your response.
Best regards.
Philippe
