Hello Gilles,
thank you very much for your fast answer.
1. You recommended to install a 5.0 win 32-bit package. I'm running
Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, 64 bit). I found a tarball digikam-5.0.0.tar.xz.
Can I use it to bypass the mentioned problems?
2. On the screenshot I found, that "/" or "|" should be used to
structure hierarchical categories. Can I use the dot (".") too?
2. The needed metadata are stored in an IPTC field. Does that matter?
