[Digikam-users] Custom export

Hi,

how difficult is it to integrate my own gallery tool in Digikam? Do I
have to write code and compile my own version of Digikam or Kipi
plugins? Or can I just add a config or setting somewhere?

What I am looking for is this:
A button (under the Export menu) which I can click after having selected
some pictures. And then my script is run like:

myscript $selectedImagePaths

Or should I rather use "Open with..."?
