Both. face region are stored to XMP. Look with metadata viewer for details.

Backtrace of the crash please.

There is already a report about but under Windows. No suitable
backtrace can be generated.

When you generate fingerprint did you use maintenance tool ? Did yiu
use multi-core option ?

Select and image in icon view and :

1/ look if face region tags are visible in XMP (MP and MWGR
namespace). Example :

2/ try to use More>Sync DB with metadata from Caption & Tags side bar.

If we can find a student to work on it. For the moment no. We are
focused to KF5 port. After we will see.
