[Digikam-users] Generate a BQ workflow from a previously processed image

Hello digiKam users,

my workflow in editing and processing a set of raw or other files with
digiKam is the following. First, I edit one image with the Image Editor
manually and fine tune a lot of settings with the advantage to get
direct feedback from the Image Editor, how the chosen settings affect my
image. That's all well and good, but how to get these tools with
particular settings to a workflow in the Batch Queue Manager to process
more than one image automatically? It is very annoying to note all
different settings and then manually add tools to a workflow and
parameterize these tools with the previously noted settings. To simplify
this approach, I have written a script, which you can download here:
[1]. A short documentation is downloadable here: [2].

The usage of the script, or better the usage of the generated workflows,
is a little bit affected by some problems digiKam has up to now with
restoring some settings. For details, see: [3]. But I guess, in the
future these problems get fixed.

I hope for some of you the script may be useful. In case of further
questions, just write a mail.

Best regards,
Jan
