[Digikam-users] Digikam 4.0 won't run on Linux Mint 17.1: vanishes after album scan

Open a shell/terminal and start digikam from there by typing "digikam"
(without the "")and hit enter. Hopefully you will get some error messages
there that can give clues about what's going on. I would guess that you
somehow have installed KDE and/or exiv2 versions other than your installed
Digikam is built against to use.

Most likely you have more than one package from sqlite3 installed on your
system. You might have to install/update them at the same time with the
same install/update command (not install one of the sqlite3 packages and
then the other) to not have a conflict as they depend on each other.
Shouldn't conflict with other packages but it's own version.
