[Digikam-users] canon cameras identified by ubuntu 12.04 and digikam but no access to image-files

For the 500D, you can change the camera's file transfer mode between, can't remember, PTP and something else. Check in the menu. Change it to the other value than the currently selected. And try again.

This may solve your problem even on Win7.
