[Digikam-users] Enhancement request: image editor preserve tags and ratings

When editing an image that has already been tagged and/or had a star 
rating applied, I would like the editor to preserve those tags and 
ratings when it saves the file (or makes a copy of it).

There doesn't seem to be an option to do this, and I think it should be 
the default.
