Recompiled exiv2 with xmp support (added it to my make.conf file and
did an "emerge -avuND @world" to make sure anything else using xmp
would be recompiled but I think only exiv2 and tellico were done.

Still grayed out in DK settings.
If I look at that same Metadata settings and look at the viewers, they
are all blank - no options selected- and I'm not sure how that ought
to be. There's too many things in there for me to grasp, but if I
enable them it doesn't appear to help in the Behavior tab with the
Read xmp sidecars.

I did do a restart of the computer just in case and for other reasons as well.
