[Digikam-users] digikam4.db, some questions...

Hi,

Question 1. If I configure digikam to write all metadata in image files, 
can I delete digikam4.db and rebuild it without any loss ? If it is not 
the case, what kind of info digikam4.db store which is not in the images 
files ?

Question 2. I see my images directory from /path/to/dir on my Mac, with 
digikam4.db staying here. From my Ubuntu VM, I see (via a shared folder) 
the same images directory from /path2/to/dir. If I use digikam on the 
Mac, there is in digikam4.db the information of the path "/path/to/dir" 
so I can't use this digikam4.db file from my Ubuntu VM which don't see 
the directory at the same place. I know, I can tweak the file with a 
sqlite editor, but is there another tip to use the same file under two 
digikam instance with a different path to the images directory ???
