[Digikam-users] Any thoughts on RAM needs?

Rinus,

I managed to move my digikam material from one computer to the other, in
Linux.

What I did was as follows.
1. copied digikamrc from machine 1 to machine 2;
2. copied directory /pictures, including database file, from machine 1
to machine 2;
3. ran digikam and on startup said; I'll tell you about database later
(or something like that);
4. deleted in digikam settings old path to pictures and add a new path,
although they were the same;
5. restarted digikam

And it worked.
