Hi Keith
I am an ordinary user of Digikam 1.02 and have a Nikon D3100 which is
not recognized by Digikam.
So i use the Mass Storage download option ( Nikon icon on desktop) and
drag and drop the NEF images to a folder in my file system Ubuntu 10.04.
Then open Digikam and browse to the folder via the Digikam folder tree.
Cheers JohnB
