So do you mean that something happened in software that I didn't update?

I'm back in 1.7.0 now and it is working, so I think I stay there for the moment.

I have built 1.8.0 and 1.7.0 by myself.

I'm on opneSUSE 11.3 with KDE 4.5.5.
