[Digikam-users] Extract cr2 from dng images

Hi all,
I've converted cr2 to dng and embedded the file.  I can't figure out how
to extract the original file. I've even tried to use adobe's own dng
converter tool to extract the images.
(http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/index.html)  (Error message is "No
embedded originals were extracted")  How can I do this?  Digikam doesn't
appear to offer an extraction tool... perhaps I'm wrong?

Can exiftool be used?  Thanks,
