It's not trivial to make packages so you can upload them to Launchpad.
You need to make all the Debian package and build scripts. About all
you need to know are to be find on this Ubuntu page but there are
guides that can get you started somewhere but usually you step in to
deeper water so to speak rather soon and get more or less
complicated...
