Hi Ozzy and Gilles,
Go to ¨Settings->Configure Digikam->Editing Images->In Main View¨ check 
¨Always show original images¨ click ok.
Do your conversion and all Raw and Jpg will be shown side by side.

Please let me know if this worked for you too Ozzy. I expect this 
problem will keep showing up here, so it is important info.

Problems are just there to be solved.
