[Digikam-users] Writing Rights and Location Metadata to image

Hi,

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I have been googling but I
can't seem to find an answer.

I am using Digikam Version 1.2.0 and exiv2 0.19

I would like Digikam to write the Copyright and Location metadata in to the
images I am tagging so that when I copy the file the location data goes with
it.

In the Settings I have ticked "Save metadata template as metadata embedded
in files".
I have created a template for the Country and City and applied it to the
images.
The progress bar in the bottom left of the screen happily moves along
updating metadata.

However, if I use exiftool to list all the tags I can't see the City or
Country or Copyright information listed.

Is this data being saved to the image file or is it just being stored in the
database?
