[Digikam-users] Color management plugin: Purpose, Workflow?

Hi,

the color management / soft-proof plugin in the image editor is currently 
slightly broken and in a pretty bad shape.

Before fixing it, I have to find clear answers to these questions:
For which operations is this plugin intended? 

What are the use case, where in the workflow do you use this plugin? Which 
parameters of the image do you change here?
