Go to expoblending folder from source dir, and run this :

[gilles at localhost expoblending]$ ./expoblending.shell
expoblending(17914)/KIPI (loading)
KIPIExpoBlendingPlugin::AlignBinary::checkSystem: Found
"align_image_stack"  version:  "2009.2"
expoblending(17914)/KIPI (loading)
KIPIExpoBlendingPlugin::EnfuseBinary::checkSystem: Found  "enfuse"
version:  "3.2"

Look like the tool is also a stand alone application. And look the
first message printed to the console.

You need to actived the debug output for kipi-plugins area. Run
kdebugdialog for that.
