[Digikam-users] Scan a folder for new / deleted images?

Using digikam 0.10.0 on KDE 4.2.

Is there a way to scan particular folder for new images and remove 
deleted images from DB?

My album contains multiple folders with 50GB ++ of images.
Let's say I add few images to a particular folder and delete some 
others, is there a way to get the DB updated other than re-scan the 
entire album with "Scan for new images" which takes for ages?

I didn't find any functionality to just tell "re-scan this folder and 
update DB".
