[Digikam-users] printing photos - stripes

Sorry for the delay, but I think I can confirm your bug;

On OpenSuse 10.2, KDE 3.5.9 and Digikam 9.3 when printing
with the PrintWizard to my new Epson StylusPhoto R360 (Epson
PIPSlite driver) I get one thin stripe at the bottom of my
photos when printed A4 in portait orientation. Curiously the
Printwizard renders impeccably in Landscape mode !?

I tested printing the same picture on my rugged HP-DJ1120c
(Gutenprint 5.0.0 Simplified) with the same settings that
gave the stripes; the output is horrible but at least one
can definetly exclude any stripes there. Same when using the
HP-DJ1120c with the Foomatic/hpijs driver.

Stripes do not occur when printing from the Digikam editor,
PDF printing (both from viewer and editor) is also free of
this annoyance.

I'm suspecting the Kipi-PrintWizard to be the cause when
used with Epson/Canon drivers. Possibly same as
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155415 as pointed out by
Arnd, but then there are counterindications in what people
are experiencing.

Per, what method did you use to print your photos ?

Best regards
