As an alternative, you can use your mobile phone, and a bluetooth GPS device.
Software such as TrekBuddy www.trekbuddy.net can log the GPS position,
recording in either GPX or raw NMEA for later processing. Use Bluetooth FTP
to get the files from your phone.
