[Digikam-users] deflation bug for .png images in full screen mode?

Hi there:

Been working on calibration of my workstation; using
little-cms, targets and .icc profiles. I also took some .jpg
images from my E-500 DSLR through the process of adjusting
levels in digiKam, saving as .png and printing on both my
inkjet and in a printshop. So far so good, the printed
images were really decent.
But when re-opening the treated .png's in the digiKam
browser the on-screen results are horrible in full screen
mode; looks like there's something wrong with the deflation
algorythm (similar to over-compressed .jpeg's). This happens
also on the lightboard - but not in the editor or any other
image viewer (eg. Gwenview or ImageMagik).

My best guess is that the image opened in full screen window
is not the real file but a generated temp file somwhere
(though not the thumbnail).

I made several screenshots to show the symptoms, 1,2Mb
total; I can send them if someone wants to take a look
(wasn't sure whether it's decent to throw them in on this
mailinglist).

It could of course be something in my own setup, but it's an
rpm installation with smart and the only thing tinkered with
is my translated .mo file (I'm translating into icelandic).
Don't think there should be any relation to the problem.

My version is digiKam 0.9.2-final on OpenSuse 10.1 and KDE
3.5.7 r43.1

Have a nice day

Sveinn í Felli
