Thanks for your answer. I do not have a CF reader. The compact flash card was given to me along with the camera by my wife. She had used the camera and compact flash card for about a year and a half before giving it to me. She uses iphoto and an apple imac computer. She never had any problems erasing the images from the camera using that software. I can erase the images using the camera but it is more convenient to use digikam. Do compact flash cards wear out with alot of usage?
