Yes, i can confirm that something is wrong in your computer. You must have 
this report :

[gilles at portable-gc .libs]$ ldd digikam |grep exi
        libexiv2-0.10.so => /usr/lib/libexiv2-0.10.so (0xb7921000)
        libexif.so.12 => /usr/lib/libexif.so.12 (0xb646a000)

ok, libexif is added by GPHOTO2 flags ! It's normal...
