Hello
First, congratulations to developpers (and others) who
contribute to this great soft. I used "similar" soft on
windows before trying linux. I'm now addicted to this OS
but still a newbie.
1- Actually I have installed digikam 0.7.3,
digikamimageplugin 0.7.3 and libdigikam 0.7.3 from rpm.
Everything is OK except the raw image conversion. I own a
nikon D70 wich produces NEF files. With digikam I can't
preview the files nor convert them. I have a message wich
indicates a preview or process failure. I have installed
DCRAW and the problem is the same despites it works right
with the gimp plugin (better to my opinion with UFRAW). Is
there an incompatibility between my digital camera and
this option in Digikam ?
2- Recently I wanted to upgrage to Digikam 0.8. I found
rpm digikamimageplugins 0.8.0-beta2, digikam 0.8.0-beta2,
libdigikam 0.8.0-beta2 from rpm.pbone.net but it doesn't
work. When I launch the soft, Digikam crashes immediately
and I have no message in console mode. So where can I find
a complete RPM version of digikam 0.8 ? I use MANDRIVA LE
2005 with KDE 3.3. (I tried to compile the file downloaded
from digikam.org but I messed something)
Thanks for your answers
Yann
