[Digikam-users] despeckling or cloning

Hi list-members, 

I am using digiKam and its image editor for my pictures. Some of my 
scanned/shot slides do have spots on them and I tried to remove 
them with the despeckle filter of the image editor, but that is always 
working on the whole picture. 
Can I specify an area that this filter only shall affect?

Is there a cloning plug-in available?
