collection of photos as amarok does with music, i.e. have several dirs they can be stored in. If that was the case the backup-folder could be held seperate, if needed, e.g. on a USB-drive. That way the laptop user can have old pictures as well as backups on the USB-drive but still have the more recent photos on the laptop itself.
