--- Comment #6 from Heikki Naski <heikki naski gmail com> 2012-02-08 18:34:54 ---
Confirmed on the following setup:
Version: 1.9.0 (Using KDE Development Platform 4.6.5 (4.6.5))
OS: Linux
Installed from: Kubuntu default repositories

Since this is marked as a junior job I made a summary of the task:

=What did I do=
I select an image. If the image does not have GPS coordinates, I set these
coordinates from the main menu: Image -> Geolocation -> Edit coordinates.
On the sidebar on the right edge of the screen I click on "Geolocation" (icon
of a globe).
Then on the bottom right corner of the screen I click on a select list which
contains items such as "MapQuest", "Google Maps" etc. and I try to find
"loc.alize.us" there.

=What happened=
I can't find "loc.alize.us" in this list.

=What should have happened=
I would have found "loc.alize.us" in this list, selected it and then clicked
on the button immediately to the right of this select list and
"loc.alize.us"-service would have opened a browser window with the map
pointing to the coordinates in the image.

I also played around with the loc.alize.us URL and it seems like it does take
the coordinates in the URL like Patrick mentioned. I'm not sure if you can have
arbitrary markers on that map since it looks like it adds those markers to all
images that are recorded in that service.
