[Digikam-devel] Why 2 windows installers

Hi guys,
I will be installing Digikam for a friend on Windows and I see there are 2 
install options - Digikam installer vs. KDE Windows installer.

What is the difference between the two? Are there any technical reasons why I 
should select one or the other (better integration, less issues, etc)?

Please explain to a tech user, not a regular app user.
