no idea. perhaps the version of Qt used by digiKam is not the same than your
Qt-sqlite plugin.

To know the Qt version used by digiKam, go to Help/Components Info dialog of
Showfoto, the stand alone version of digiKam image editor which do not use
SQlite DB.

Anyway, i'm sure about the problem. I recommend to ask to your Linux distro
team for details.
