Summary: several UI suggestions for face-detection
           Product: digikam
           Version: 2.0.0
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Face Detection
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: s.oosthoek at xs4all.nl

Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

As I'm playing with the new feature, I have some suggestions to improve
usability.

Of course I understand the feature is new, doesn't yet work optimally, etc.

First a list of problems I see, which may need (and suggest) solutions.
- Face detection doesn't seem to appear or be active anywhere else but in the
People tab.
- It seems impossible to select multiple unknown faces and identify them at
once
- The last typed name for identification is filled in automatically, this can
be handy, but only if you realise this is happening.
- I have 1781 unknown faces left, it is a lot!
- it would be easier to tag if similar faces are grouped together.

A way face detection could be more visible outside the people tab:
- In any view, inside a photo with faces, show a balloon when hovering over a
face with some options:
- this is not a face
- this is (suggested/select)'s face

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
easier face detection use.
