I do not even get a chance to see any of the program load,  it simply faults
immediately after clicking on the Digikam Icon or Menu Entry.  I do not
get to look at Preferences as nothing except the Bug Reporting option appears
on screen.

This fault has only occurred after adding the new PPA and attempting to run
latest version of Digikam.  The default copy from kUbuntu repositories worked
flawlessly.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
