These bugs are all duplicate, though not obviously to the user, and based on the very complex internal structure of IconView.
I wish to replace this complex class with something more structured and modular, based on model/view, ideally based on KCategorizedView.
This requires a bit of work and we want to release 0.10.0 at some point in time and not defer it again and again. As the feature requested here is desirable, but not essential, the current solution proven for years and working, such is a good candidate for deferring to the next release (0.10.1?)
