Yes this request sounds very similar. I would just like to have an option that 
displays photos in a virtual album without any space on the screen wasted.

If I select a single tag and look at the photos, this sometimes looks like 
below, depending on how many photos of one album have this tag assigned. I am 
talking about the right part of the screen with the photos not about the left 
part with the list of tags:

Now What I would like to have is to fill up the gaps, remove the blue bars on 
top of the photos just to display more photos on one page. This could look 
like this (the photos are different here but its just to show how they should 
be arranged:
