[Digikam-devel] Feature idea: query ws.geonames.org for location name

Hi Markus,

I think this is a nice idea.
Presumably the best is to file a feature wish in the bug-tracker
(with the contents of your mail) and discuss
things there. This ensures that no comments are forgotten ...

Just two comments:
- what about off-line situations?
(one could use the 160 MB zip file, or individual files
   for each country of interest)
- what if the place is at the border of a larger town (but still inside),
  with a small village nearby?
Then the small village is the one which is used, right?

Best, Arnd
