I will also check how easy it is to make Full screen in preview mode to hide 
most of the stuff (toolbar, statubar, sidebars), similar to image editor.

This looks good enough that we can push it into Ubuntu Feisty release (we will 
need to request Upstream Version Freeze exception, but we should be able to 
get it).

I am counting on great work from Achim on debian packages, but I can jump in 
if he will not have time to work on this.

I am quite busy until Feb 7 (Ubuntu Feisty feature freeze), and then will 
probably be off the internet until Feb 12. From then on, I am available to 
help with potential packaging/bugfixing (as much as work and family 
permits ;-))
