[Digikam-devel] configure error

following a successful compilation and I'm now stack on a crash during
startup:

the crash happens following several lines saying:
kio (KSycoca) ERROR: no database available!

problem happens either without a database (right after it finishes
building it) or with existing db
immediately.

any clues?
